Ricky Gervais has extended his New Material Nights residency with four new dates.

The award-winning comedian and actor will once again take over London's Leicester Square Theatre on April 13, 14, 21 and 22. Tickets go on general sale at 10am this Friday (April 10).

The comic restarted his New Material Night shows again in January, continuing them throughout February, March and into early April, with the last of his previously confirmed gigs taking place tonight.

Gervais is thought to be working on material for a new stand-up show, the follow-up Mortality, which is currently streaming on Netflix and earlier in the year earned him a Golden Globe for Best Stand-Up Performance.
