Ricky Gervais has extended his Ricky Gervais & Friends: New Material Nights residency in London further into June with four new shows.

The award-winning comic, actor and writer will return to Leicester Square Theatre on June 8, 9, 16 and 17, with the first three shows starting at 7pm and the last at 5pm. Tickets go on sale at 10am this Friday (June 5).

The stand-up comedian resumed his New Material Nights in January and continued them throughout February, March, April, May and now June, with the last of his latest batch of gigs taking place last night (June 2).

Gervais is thought to be experimenting with new material for a new stand-up show, the follow-up to Mortality, which is currently available to stream on Netflix and earned him a Golden Globe for Best Stand-Up Performance in January.
