A new music festival will take place in Santa Monica, California later this year.

Created by Goldenvoice, the promotion company behind California's Coachella and Stagecoach festivals, Ocean Way Festival will take place between Santa Monica Pier and Bay Street on September 26 and 27.

The event takes its name from Ocean Way, the Santa Monica street where Allen Sides founded Ocean Way Recording Studios over 40 years ago.

Leading the inaugural line-up are The Killers, Olivia Dean, Jack White and Khruangbin, with Sublime, Durand Jones and the Indications, Alvvays, Hiatus Kaiyote, SG Lewis, 54 Ultra, Blond:Ish, and Poolside. There will also be DJ sets from Hot Chip. Check out the full line-up to date on the poster below.

"Santa Monica is in the middle of a renaissance," said the city's Mayor Caroline Torosis in a statement. "The city is welcoming the world to its shores, and Ocean Way Festival is how we're making sure our own community is at the center of it."

Tickets go on general sale at 11am local time on Thursday (July 23).
