Russian Circles will release their ninth album this summer.

The aptly titled 'Nine' will arrive via Sargent House on August 28. It finds the Chicago post-metallers reuniting with engineer and Converge mastermind Kurt Ballou, whose previous credits include Mastodon and High On Fire, continuing a partnership that began with the band's sixth album, 2016's 'Guidance'.

Recording sessions for the follow-up to 2022's 'Gnosis' took place at Electrical Audio in Chicago and Ballou's GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts

Alongside the album announcement, the trio have released its doomy lead single Empath, which arrives with a video directed by Madeline Hampton. 

The band have also scheduled a North American tour for the fall, with support from Pelican at shows between September 25 and October 13, while Primitive Man will feature on dates from November 4 to 21.
