Queens Of The Stone Age's ninth studio album now has a release date.

Hinted at earlier this month in a grisly five finger fillet video posted to social media, 'Perfecth' is now confirmed to arrive on October 30 via Matador Records, a month later than intially teased, according to the band's official website.

Produced by frontman Josh Homme and bassist Michael Shuman, the nine-song album explores love, loss and relationships, inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi and the idea that broken things can become more beautiful when repaired. It was recorded between New Orleans, Louisiana and Los Angeles.

Alongside the news, the American rockers have shared the album's cover art, tracklist and a new single titled Insignificant Other, a hazy desert rock track guided by Homme's distinctive vocals over a shuffling groove. It'll appear on the album alongside Easy Street with country singer Nikki Lane, released last month, marking their first single in three years. Homme said of the new track:

"It’s a song about distance. About how someone can be your entire world only to simply vanish. And about the strange vertigo of being on the receiving end of that."

The announcement comes ahead of the band continuing their North Amercian tour supporting Foo Fighters on the Take Cover Tour next month, followed by their own shows in Japan, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand with Primus and Tropical Fuck Storm before the end of the year.
