Little Simz has surprised fans with the announcement of a new EP set for release next week.

The Mercury Prize, BRIT and MOBO Award-winning artist took to social media last night (April 29) to confirm that 'Sugar Girl' will drop next Friday (May 8) via AWAL Recordings. The post included a black-and-white teaser video featuring an unreleased track.

The North Londoner released her sixth album, 'Lotus', in 2025, following 2022's 'No Thank You'. She also put out an original song titled Don't Leave Too Soon for the Netflix film Steve last September.

Having curated and performed at last year's 30th edition of Meltdown Festival at London's Southbank Centre, Simz will headline Cross The Tracks at Brockwell Park next month, before co-headlining Forwards Festival in Bristol with Amyl and the Sniffers and Dijon in August.
