WHY?, led by Cincinnati musician-songwriter Yoni Wolf, have announced a new album.

The follow-up to 2024's 'The Well I Fell Into', and last year's demos edition, is titled 'Oh Golly / Yes Lord' and is set to arrive on October 30 via Waterlines. It features co-production from Nate Mercereau (André 3000, The Weeknd) and WHY?'s Josiah Wolf, with assistance from frequent collaborator Andrew Broder (Fog, Lambchop) and Ryan Olson (Poliça, Bon Iver).

"The album is not a flattering look at my life, but that’s not the point,” Yoni explained. "This is warts-and-all stuff. I’m always striving for honesty in WHY?, but 'Oh Golly / Yes Lord' is particularly revealing." 

The upcoming record will include the newly shared lead single, the hypnotic and introspective In Spirit, one of several tracks entirely written, produced and performed by Wolf, who said:

"In Spirit is a romantic overture for someone I had never met in person. I’d call it a harmless, securely attached gesture of longing from a distance. It’s me going out on a limb without expectations, feeling like even if I never meet this person in real life, we are already connected in some alternate universe or on some other plane of existence. And that’s beautiful. That’s enough."
