Villanelle have announced their debut EP.

The five-song 'Measly Means' marks the British rock trio's first major release and draws on influences from Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. It will arrive on May 6 and features two of the band's previously released singles, the title track and Hinge. 

Today, they've shared a third preview, Placebo, a fiery, hook-driven song fuelled by distorted guitars and commanding vocals from Gene Gallagher, who said, "Placebo is about heightened visualizations of post session anxiety."

After recently wrapping up a tour supporting Miles Kane, Villanelle will play a BBC Music Introducing Presents show at London's Lower Third on March 5.

Later in the year, they'll appear at several festivals, including the UK's The Great Escape, Boardmasters, Neighbourhood Weekender and Victorious Festival, as well as dates overseas at The Governor’s Ball in New York, Bonnaroo in Tennessee, and Mad Cool Festival in Madrid. Tickets are on sale now.
