Usain Bolt will appear at an in-conversation event in London this summer.

The Jamiacan world champion, world record holder and eight-time Olympic gold medallist will speak candidly about the discipline, sacrifice, setbacks and joy that defined his career, as well as what it takes to be the best in the world, during a one-night-only event billed as Usain Bolt: Fastest Man Ever at the O2 Arena on July 22. He said:

"London! I’m really looking forward to being back with you and sharing my story. My career had so many moments people saw on the track, but just as many they didn’t… The hard work, the pressure, the laughs and the setbacks. It all played a part. This special evening is about taking you on that journey, and doing it at the O2, just down the road from where I won three Olympic medals, makes it even more special."

Tickets go on general sale at on May 8 at 9.58am, a reference to Bolt's famous 100 metres world record time.
