The Avalanches have shared a new song, Every Single Weekend featuring Jamie xx.

A one-minute version of the bright, summery, sample-heavy track originally appeared as an interlude on the British producer's 2024 album 'In Waves', but now a full version of the song has been released alongside a Jonathan Zawada-directed video.

The Australian electronic trio also previously collaborated with Jamie xx on All You Children from 'In Waves', and Wherever You Go in 2020. They said:

"We’ve loved collaborating with Jamie xx over the years - his 'In Colour' album reignited our passion for sampling, and this track is all about letting go, forgetting the 9-5 grind and enjoying every single weekend."

Last month, The Avalanches returned with Together, featuring Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza and Prentiss, their first new music since their 2020 third album, 'We Will Always Love You'. There's no details of a follow-up yet, but Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi, and Andy Szekeres have set up a new retro-style website, takumiarchives.com, that allows visitors to sign up by email for updates.

The trio are set to appear at a handful of shows and festivals over the next few months, including a date in Mexico City, All Together Now in Ireland and Lost Village Festival in Lincolnshire. Tickets are on sale now.
