Sam Smith has released another single from their upcoming album.

Following last month's Oh Mother featuring The TwoCity Chorus, and earlier tracks My Guy, Love Is A Stillness and To Be Free, When He's Gone pairs bluesy finger-picked acoustic guitar with souldful vocals, offering a further glimpse into 'Hazel Eyes', due out on August 21. Smith said:

"This album explores every shade of a relationship and ‘When He’s Gone’ is more of a melancholy shade. We captured it live without a click track, and built everything around that original recording to preserve the feeling of a storm rumbling in the distance."

Smith will celebrate the follow-up to 2023's 'GLORIA' with To Be Free residencies in Manchester and London next month, following a Guadalajara show on August 14 and four performances for their To Be Free: Mexico City residency at the Auditorio Nacional on August 17, 18, 20 and 21. Tickets are on sale now.
