Puressence have confirmed a hometown show in Manchester for this summer.
After a number of sold-out reunion gigs over the past two years, the '90s alt-rockers will play their biggest headline show to date at the city's Castlefield Bowl on July 2, opening the Sounds Of The City series.
The show will see the band celebrating the 30th anniversary of their seminal self-titled debut album, with support coming from fellow Manchester band The Chameleons, who will be marking 40 years of their record 'Strange Times'. Tickets go on general sale at 9.30am on Friday (April 10).
Also headlining this year's Sounds Of The City series in Manchester are The K's, Haçienda Classiçal, Wet Leg, Johnny Marr, The Streets, and Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter. The Leeds edition, meanwhile, will host Dylan Gossett, Alabama Shakes, Tom Odell, Wet Leg, The Human League and The Cribs. Get tickets here.
Ahead of their new Manchester show, Puressence will play London's Islington Assembly Hall on April 25 and Manchester Academy on May 2. Tickets for those dates are on sale.
They released 'Solid State Recital', their fifth and latest album, before splitting up two years after its 2011 release and accompanying tour.
