Julia Holter has shared another single from her upcoming album.

The dreamy My Lost One pairs delicate vocals with atmospheric textures and serves as the latest preview of 'Materia', a seven-track companion record to 2024's 'Something In The Room She Moves', due out on August 21 via Domino. Holter said:

"My Lost One is a witchy folktale inspired by children's books with creepy rhymes and nonsense syllables, trees growing through living rooms, and animals doing things in clothes. I imagine wildlife moving into my home, a superimposition of the outdoors and the indoors. I think about a squirrel cooking a meal on my stove. What are we conjuring, and what are we truly longing for?"

The project will also include the Los Angeles artist's June single Fantasy and her 2024 track The Laugh Is In The Eyes.

Holter has also announced album playback events in Los Angeles and London. The Los Angeles event, presented by KCRW, will take place at In Sheep's Clothing HQ on August 20, featuring a full playback of 'Materia' and a Q&A with Holter and KCRW's Director of Music Content Alejandro Cohen. Ticket proceeds will go to the Immigrant Defenders Law Center. The London event will be an album listening party and raffle at Stranger Than Paradise Records on the same day.
