DIIV have outlined plans for their fifth album.

The follow-up to 2024's 'Frog In Boiling Water' is titled 'ZIRP!' and will arrive on October 30, with legendary producer A.G. Cook overseeing the project. Cook is known for his long-time creative partnership with Charli XCX, as well as work with Beyoncé, Caroline Polachek and Troye Sivan.

Although there's no advance singles yet, a pre-save page for 'ZIRP!' has appeared online over the weekend, while Cook has shared a teaser through Instagram stories.

Around the same time, some fans received cryptic business cards in the post featuring a QR code linking to DIIV's website and a phone number, the latter of which plays a telemarketing-style message introducing 'ZIRP!' as "the future of alternative multimedia entertainment," followed by mock-up marketing promises to "challenge assumptions" and "create new categories."

Since their last album, DIIV have released the standalone single Return Of Youth in May 2025, as well as the 'Remixes' EP that April. This January, they also put out 'Boiled Alive', the album that accompanies their 2025 concert film that was recorded live across their three shows at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles earlier that year.

They recently completed a tour of Asia and will play North American shows with Interpol and Basement this fall.
