Dynamo—real name Steven Frayne—is an illusionist and magician from Bradford, England.

Widely regarded as the UK's most influential and prominent magician of the 21st century, he was introduced to the craft by his great-grandfather when he was eight-years-old, who taught him the "anti-levitation" magic trick (a technique to make his body feel entirely immovable) to help defend himself against school bullies. What initially started as self-defence soon evolved into a lifelong passion, and he began performing professionally in 2002.

Investing in camera equipment to film his early street magic after being granted a loan from The Prince's Trust, going on to become a viral online star for his close-up tricks, eventually landing his own TV show, Dynamo: Magician Impossible in 2011, where he performed on the streets and also to a number of high-profile celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Coldplay, Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson, Rio Ferdinand and Rihanna. Now a household name globally, he is one of the most commercially successful and influential street magicians in television history, and was named Magician of the Year by the Academy of Magical Arts, received the Maskelyne Award from The Magic Circle, and secured consecutive Broadcast Awards for Best Entertainment Programme alongside three BAFTA nominations.
