The Weeknd—real name Abel Tesfaye—is an R&B singer-songwriter and producer from Toronto, Canada.

Starting his career in 2010, he released his debut album, 'Kiss Land', in 2013, which hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 200. His second album, 'Beauty Behind the Madness', was released in 2015, and hit the top spot on the chart. He followed up with 'Starboy' in 2016, 'After Hours' in 2020 and, most recently, 2022's 'Dawn FM'. His most recent album, 'Hurry Up Tomorrow', was released in January 2025.

Today he is among the world's best-selling music artists, with an impressive number of awards and accolades under his belt. To name just a few, he has received an Academy Award nomination for his track Earned It from 50 Shades Of Gray, a BRIT Award and four Grammys.

He has also collaborated with the likes of Drake, French Montana, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Tyler The Creator and Lana Del Rey, with production credits for Rick Ross, Future and Lil Uzi Vert.

The Weeknd will continue his After Hours Til Dawn World Tour with a European leg in summer 2026, including stops in London, Manchester and Dublin, which follows dates in Mexico and Brazil in April. He has also confirmed dates across Asia between September and November for what is being billed as the final leg of the global tour.
