The Proclaimers

The Proclaimers are a folk and Celtic rock band from Edinburgh, consisting of twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid.

Formed in 1983, they are perhaps best known for their track I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), as well as Letter From America, I'm On My Way and Sunshine on Leith. Tracks such as these have allowed them to amass a worldwide following, which appeals to more than just fans of folk and country.

They have released 11 albums to date, among them their debut 'This Is The Story' in 1987, 1988's 'Sunshine On Leith' which was certified platinum across the world and their most recent serving, 2018's 'Angry Cyclist'.

The Proclaimers have shows across the UK and Ireland planned for summer 2026, with some as part of festivals and concert series, and further dates in the diary for the following autumn.
