Burt Bacharach is an American composer, pianist, and singer.

Starting his music career in 1950, he worked at the Brill Building with lyricist Hal David. Their first hit was The Story of My Life recorded by Marty Robbins, which hit #15 in the Billboard Hot 100. He went on to create tracks such as Magic Moments, The Look of Love, Wishin' and Hopin, Anyone Who Had a Heart, (They Long to Be) Close to You, Walk on By, I Say a Little Prayer, Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head and What's New Pussycat? and worked closely with Dionne Warwick.

He released his debut solo album, 'Hit maker!: Burt Bacharach plays the Burt Bacharach Hits', in 1965, which reached #3 in the UK Albums Chart. His last album was 2005's 'At This Time', which won him his sixth Grammy Award.

Burt Bacharach has announced his return to Dublin with a huge show in July 2019, then he will play Glasgow's Kelvingrove Bandstand and Eventim Apollo as part of their Summer Nights concert series.
