Will Smith is an actor, rapper, and film producer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He began his career in the entertainment industry as one half of hip hop group DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, in which he was an MC, turntablist and producer. The duo went on to have a hugely successful career, winning two Grammy Awards and landing several Top 10 singles. His four solo albums also earned him two Grammys for his efforts.

In 1990, he signed a deal with NBC to create a sitcom based around him, which was, of course, The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. The series was a global success and paved the way for an incredibly successful career, landing roles in huge box office films such as Independence Day, King Richard, I Am Legend, and the Bad Boys and Men In Black franchises, among others. He has been nominated for five Golden Globe Awards, won an Academy Award, and has become one of the most famous faces in Hollywood.

Smith returned to mainstream music in 2024 and is set to release his first album in over 20 years, 'Based On A True Story', in March 2025.
