The Under the Big Sky Festival is an annual music and arts festival held in Whitefish, Montana, at Big Mountain Ranch.

The event celebrates Americana, folk, alt-country, and rock music with a focus on traditional and contemporary sounds, hosting performances by emerging and established artists, plus rodeo events and trail riding, set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

Previous acts that have played the festival include Tyler Childers, Mumford and Sons, The Red Clay Strays, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Band Of Horses, Dwight Yoakam, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Emmylou Harris and Brothers Osborne.

Under the Big Sky Festival will return in July 2026 with headliners Cody Jinks, Zach Top and Chris Stapleton, plus performances from Benjamin Todd, Chance Pena, Kaitlin Butts, Lily Meola, Madeline Hawthorne, Caitlyn Smith, Fabrizio, Goldie Boutlier, Leftover Salmon, Mountain Grass Unit, Charles Wesley Godwin, Cole Chaney, Gabriella Rose, Greensky Bluegrass, Hogslop String Band and more.
