Semisonic are an American rock band formed in Minneapolis in 1995, featuring Dan Wilson on lead vocals, guitar and keyboards, John Munson on bass and keyboards, and Jacob Slichter on drums and percussion.

The trio rose to prominence in the late 1990s, achieving international success with their 1998 sophomore album, 'Feeling Strangely Fine'. The record was propelled by the massive success of its lead single, Closing Time, which topped the US Modern Rock Tracks chart and earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Song. The band’s discography also includes their 1996 debut, 'Great Divide', and their 2001 follow-up, 'All About Chemistry'. After a long hiatus, the band returned to the studio to release the EP 'You're Not Alone' in 2020, followed by their first full-length studio album in over two decades, 'Little Bit Of Sun', in 2023. In June 2026, the band released their latest single, Don't Give Up Yet.

Semisonic are currently active with live performances, including a headline show at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis and an appearance at the Minnesota Yacht Club festival in Saint Paul.
