Rihanna, is a pop singer from Barbadoes, who has achieved thirteen number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the youngest solo artist to accomplish this, as well as winning eight Grammy Awards, eight American Music Awards, 23 Billboard Music Awards, and two BRIT Awards.

Her career begun in 2003, when she met record producer Evan Rogers, and recorded a demo tape, which was picked up by Def Jam Recordings, led to an audition with Jay Z, and a contract. Both her debut album, 'Music of the Sun' in 2005, and it's follow up, 'A Girl Like Me' in 2006, reached the top ten in the US Billboard 200.

It was her single, Umbrella, from her third album, 'Good Girl Gone Bad' in 2007, which made her a household name, and she was nominated for nine Grammy Awards that year. Her subsequent albums, 'Rated R' in 2009, 'Loud' in 2010, 'Talk That Talk', in 2011, all went platinum, and her 2012 album, 'Unapologetic' reached number one in the Billboard 200. In 2014, Rihanna left Def Jam to sign with Roc Nation.
