Richmond Fontaine is an American alternative country band from Portland, Oregon, consisting of vocalist and guitar player Willy Vlautin, bass player and vocalist Freddy Trujillo, Sean Oldham on drums and guitarist Dan Eccles.

Formed in 1994, the band released their debut album, 'Safety', in 1996, followed by 'Miles From' in 1997, and 'Lost Son', in 1999, before the band starting gaining attention in Europe, including the UK. The band released 'Winnemucca' in 2002, before signing with Decor Records. Their next two records, 'Post To Wire', released in 2004, and 'The Fitzgerald', that came out in 2005, were critically acclaimed. The band's eleventh and latest album, 'You Can't Go Back If There's Nothing To Go Back To' came out in March 2016, reaching #65 in the UK Albums Chart.
