Richard Ayoade is a comedian, actor, writer, director and presenter from London.

First gaining attention in the comedy world as president of the famous Cambridge Footlights, which he held while studying law at St Catharine's College, he shot to mainstream fame after playing Maurice Moss in The IT Crowd between 2006 and 2013, which won him a BAFTA. He has grown to become one of the most prolific figures in UK comedy, having appeared on countless shows such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Would I Lie To You, The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year, Have I Got News for You, Last One Laughing and more.

Also successful in the film industry, he has landed roles in The Lego Movie, The Bad Guys, The Phoenician Scheme and more, as well as writing and directing credits for Submarine (2010) and The Double (2013).
