Peter Gabriel is a singer-songwriter and musician from Chobham.

Perhaps best recognised for his time as frontman of progressive rock legends Genesis, he also boasts an equally high-achieving solo career, having released nine successful studio albums under his own name, as well as several soundtracks and compilation records.

Brought up within a musical family, he began playing piano from an early age, and later performed behind a drum kit in bands as a teen. It was with college friends that he went on to form Genesis, and their live shows together soon found them not only international fame, but legendary status.

He left Genesis in 1975, going on to have a phenomenally successful solo career evidenced by countless awards for his work, including six Grammys and three BRITs.
