Marcus David Maron is an American stand-up comedian, podcaster, writer and actor from New Jersey.

He has been host of political shows The Marc Maron Show and co-host of both Morning Sedition and Breakroom Live. In September 2009, Maron began hosting a twice-weekly podcast titled WTF with Marc Maron in which he interviews comedians and celebrities. Highlights have included Barack Obama, Conan O'Brien, Robin Williams, and an episode with Louis C.K. that was rated the #1 podcast episode of all time by Slate magazine. It has become a worldwide phenomenon; averaging 7 million downloads each month, with nearly 375 million lifetime downloads.

In the summer of 2017, he began a co-starring role in the Netflix comedy, GLOW, where he plays a sleazy C movie director put in charge of creating a women's professional wrestling show out of a group of female misfits.
