Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are an American hip-hop and rap duo hailing from Seattle, Washington.

Forming as a team in 2008, Macklemore with on vocals and producer and DJ Ryan Lewis. Since 2008, the pair had been steadily building an online following, until their track 'Thrift Shop' catapulted them to international stardom.

Uploaded to YouTube in 2012, it's been viewed over 250,000,000 times, and topped the UK and US singles chart, selling over 2,200,000 copies worldwide. Their debut album, 'The Heist', hit shelves later in 2012, hitting #2 in the US. The duo put out their second album, 'This Unruly Mess I've Made', in February 2016.
