Lizzo—real name Melissa Jefferson—is a singer and rapper from Detroit, Michigan.

Starting her music career in 2011, she dabbled in several projects—including the group The Chalice—before dropping her debut solo album, 'Lizzobangers', in 2013, followed by 'Big Grrrl Small World' in 2015.

She shot to fame two years later with the singles Juice and Truth Hurts, the latter going multi-platinum worldwide and paving the way for her 2019 third studio album, 'Cuz I Love You'. Her fourth album, 'Special', dropped in 2024, and her fifth, 'Love In Real Life', was announced in 2025 alongside the release of a mixtape titled 'My Face Hurts From Smiling'.

Her achievements have earned her four Grammys, a BRIT nomination, and a Guinness World Record for "most weeks at number one on the US singles charts for a rap single by a female artist."

Lizzo will play early and late sets at Blue Note Jazz Club in Los Angeles and New York City in February and March 2026, with additional dates in Houston and Los Angeles scheduled for March and May, respectively.
