Lido Pimienta Tickets, Tour Dates and Events

Lido Pimienta is a Toronto-based, Colombian-born interdisciplinary musician of mixed Afro-Colombian and Wayuu descent.

Pimienta's debut LP 'Color' was released in 2010 by Los Angeles based music label KUDETA. The record was produced by Michael Ramey, Pimienta's husband at the time. After the couple went separate ways, Pimienta took time to pursue a degree in Art Criticism, and learnt more about music production and looping stations before following up with her sophomore effort, 'La Papessa' in 2016, an album that dealt with these of independence as a female artist who refuses to fit pre-conceived notions of what a pop Latina artist ought to be. The record won the 2017 Polaris Music Prize, beating the likes of Leonard Cohen, Feist, and more for the crown.

She has performed, exhibited, and curated around the world exploring the politics of gender, race, motherhood, identity and the construct of the Canadian landscape in the Latin American diaspora. She has also recently collaborated with the likes of A Tribe Called Red, Shad, Saul Williams and Nelly Furtado.

Pimienta is now set to come to Europe and the UK for a handful of shows, including an appearances at the Pitchfork Avant-Garde Festival on Halloween, and Iceland Airwaves Music Festival in Reykjavik in November, alongside a London date at Sebright Arms on November 1.
