Lewis Black is an actor and stand-up comedian from Washington, D.C.

Not shying away from the touchy subjects in his routines (history, politics, religion and cultural trends), he is known for hosting the Comedy Central series Lewis Black's Root Of All Evil and for his Back In Black segment on The Daily Show. He released his most recent standup special, Tragically, I Need You, in May 2023.

Also lending his talents to screen and voice acting, he is recognized for several large roles, including the character Anger in the Pixar hit film Inside Out.
