Joan Jett is a singer-songwriter from Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.

First emerging in 1975 as a founding member and guitarist of the massively influential rock band The Runaways, she formed Joan Jett & the Blackhearts in 1979 after the band's split, going on to achieve global superstardom with the 1982 single I Love Rock 'n Roll, which topped charts across the globe.

Joan Jett & The Blackhearts have released 13 studio albums together to date, with their most recent being 2022's 'Changeup'. They have toured extensively as support for iconic acts such as The Who, My Chemical Romance, Aerosmith, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, with Jett as a solo artist also collaborating with Sex Pistols, The Stooges and Miley Cyrus. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
