Janelle Monáe is a singer-songwriter and actor from Kansas City, Kansas.

They began their music career in 2003, eventually going on to drop their debut album, 'The ArchAndroid', in 2010.

From there, their career has gone from strength to strength, having not only recorded a further three successful studio albums, but also landing roles in a number of high-profile productions, including Academy Award-winning films Moonlight and Hidden Figures. They have been commended with a seemingly endless list of accolades and honours for their efforts, including Grammy nominations and a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award.

As well as headlining their own shows, they have also supported No Doubt, Erykah Badu, Maroon 5, Katy Perry and Red Hot Chili Peppers on tour, and collaborated with the likes of Solange, Brendon Urie, Grimes, Duran Duran and Nile Rodgers.

Their most recent album, 'The Age Of Pleasure', arrived in 2023.
