H C McEntire is a musician, songwriter, performer, writer, singer, guitarist, collaborator, and producer living in Durham, North Carolina.

Best known as being the front woman of Mount Moriah, as a solo musician, McEntire shifts her sound away from her former indie rock inclinations, and leans more towards her Southern roots in a country aesthetic.

Her debut solo release, 'Lionheart', dropped in January 2018 to rave reviews. As well as collaborating with Kathleen Hanna, for the album, McEntire invited many of her favourite musicians to participate, including Angel Olsen, Amy Ray, Tift Merritt, William Tyler, Mary Lattimore, and Phil Cook. She recorded the album whilst on tour with Angel Olsen.
