Decapitated are a death metal band from Krosno, Poland.

Brothers Wacław and Witold Kiełtyka formed the band in 1996, while still at school, eventually going on to put out their debut album 'Winds of Creation' in 2000.

They went on to enjoy huge amounts of success in their genre, putting out a further three albums until, in 2007, Witold Kiełtyka was tragically killed in a car accident, which also left former vocalist Adrian Kowanek in a coma, with the band separating as a result.

They reformed two years later, and have since added a further four studio records to their discography, with the most recent being 2022's 'Cancer Culture'.
