Damien Rice is a singer-songwriter from Dublin, Ireland.

Starting his career in the 1990s as a member of Juniper, he embarked on a solo career in 1998. Working as a farmer in Tuscany, he busked on the streets of Europe to get his music out to the world, before landing his big break in the shape of his 2001 single, The Blowers Daughter.

He released his debut album, 'O', the next year, winning him the Shortlist Music Prize, following it up with '9' in 2006 and, most recently, 'My Favourite Faded Fantasy' in 2014.
